Terms of Use
Version 1.6 · Effective October 19, 2026
1. Who we are and what these Terms cover
Therapatic is provided by EDURA COMPUTER SYSTEM TRADING L.L.C (in Arabic: ايدورا لتجارة نظم الحاسب ش.ذ.م.م), a limited liability company established in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, and licensed by the Department of Economy and Tourism in Dubai. Commercial Licence No. 1468109 Commercial Register No. 2524669 Dubai Chamber membership No. 592998 Registered address: Office No. 195, owned by Mohammed Hashim Alawi Al Safi, Al Murar, Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
In these Terms, "Edura", "we", "us" and "our" mean that company.
These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of Therapatic: the therapatic.com website, the Therapatic web application, the Therapatic Parent, Therapist and Organisation mobile apps, the Therapatic sign-in and account service, and the related services we provide (together, the "Service").
These Terms apply together with: - our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle personal data; - the plan, price and billing details shown to you before you buy a subscription; and - any separate written agreement that your organisation signs with Edura, such as organisation terms or a data processing agreement. If such an agreement conflicts with these Terms, that agreement prevails for that organisation.
You accept these Terms by confirming that you accept them when you set up or use your account. We keep a record of the version you accepted and when you accepted it. If you do not accept these Terms, do not use the Service. Seeing a demonstration of the Service, or being given access by another person, is not acceptance of these Terms on your behalf.
Where the Service is offered. We offer the Service in most countries of the world, with these exceptions: - we do not offer it in countries and regions under comprehensive sanctions under the laws that apply to us or to our service providers, such as Iran, North Korea, Syria, Cuba and the occupied regions of Ukraine; - we do not offer it in China or Russia, whose laws require personal data to be kept inside the country; and - for now, we do not offer the Service in the member states of the European Union, the other countries of the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, or to Organisations established in the United States (see section 4).
Our servers are in the United States (see our Privacy Policy), for every country where we offer the Service. The app stores show the countries where our mobile apps are available.
2. Definitions
In these Terms: "Organisation" means a clinic, centre, practice, school or other organisation that has a workspace in the Service. "Workspace" means the area of the Service that an Organisation uses to keep its records and manage its team. "Personal Space" means the area of the Service that belongs to one account holder: for a Parent or Guardian, their family details and their Children's shared profiles; for a professional, their professional passport. Each Personal Space includes My Cloud, the account holder's own file storage. "Professional" means a therapist or other professional who works with Children through an Organisation. "Parent or Guardian" means a person who has confirmed to us that they are a child's parent or legal guardian and is linked to that child in the Service. "Authorised User" means a person whom an Organisation or a Parent or Guardian has allowed to use the Service, such as a staff member invited to a Workspace. "Child" means a child, or another person receiving services, whose information is recorded in the Service. A Child does not have an account. "Child Record" means the information about a Child in the Service: the Child's shared profile and the records each Organisation makes about the Child. "Customer Content" means the information, notes, goals, assessments, plans, files, photos, videos, Session Recordings and other material that you or your Organisation put into, or create in, the Service. It does not include our software or the content we provide. "Session Recording" means a video clip, with or without sound, that an Organisation's staff record during a session with a Child through our mobile apps. "Hieka" means the AI assistant in the Service. "AI-Assisted Feature" means any feature that uses an automated model to draft, summarise, review or suggest content.
One person can have more than one role, for example a therapist who is also a parent. Paying for a subscription does not by itself make you a guardian, give you clinical authority, or give you rights over a record.
3. What Therapatic is, and what it is not
Therapatic is a clinical documentation and care-coordination tool. It helps licensed professionals and organisations record and organise their work, and helps parents and guardians follow their child's care. Depending on the Workspace, the plan and the Organisation's settings, it includes tools for records, goals, assessments, behaviour plans, sessions, Session Recordings, scheduling, reports and communication.
Therapatic is not a medical device. It does not diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any medical condition, does not make treatment decisions, and does not give medical, clinical, legal or other professional advice. It is not an emergency service. Edura provides software: it is not a health service provider, it does not provide care, and it holds no health-care licence. Each Organisation provides its own care and holds the licences that care requires.
For parents and guardians: nothing in Therapatic is medical advice. Talk to your child's clinician about your child's health, development, care or treatment. Do not delay seeking professional help because of anything you see, or do not see, in Therapatic.
For professionals: Therapatic supports your professional work; it does not replace it. Scores, progress charts, mastery indicators, suggestions and AI output are aids to your judgment. You remain responsible for every assessment, clinical decision and plan.
Content in our libraries, templates and suggestions is general. It becomes part of a Child's plan only when a qualified and authorised person has reviewed it, adapted it and approved it for that Child.
The assessment tools and target content we provide, including those installed from our libraries or marketplace, are clinical support material. They are not diagnostic or age-normed instruments: their results do not diagnose any condition, and they do not compare a Child with other children of the same age. The clinician who uses them remains responsible for choosing them, for interpreting their results and for every decision based on them.
4. Who may use the Service
- You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in the country where you live if that is higher, to hold an account. Children do not have accounts. - You must be legally able to enter into a binding contract. - You must not use the Service if you live in, or act for an Organisation established in, a country where we do not offer it (see section 1), or if you are a person with whom the sanctions laws that apply to us do not allow us to deal. - For now, we do not offer the Service to Organisations established in the United States, and the Service must not be used to keep health information that the US Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) protects. We do not sign business associate agreements. This does not affect families or professionals in the United States who use the Service with an Organisation established in another country. - If you accept these Terms for an Organisation, you confirm that you are authorised to bind that Organisation. In that case "you" also means the Organisation. - You may create, view, change or share information about a Child only if you have the authority required for that particular action. - Choosing a role or professional title in the Service does not verify a qualification or licence. Each Organisation must check its own staff's qualifications, licences and scope of practice. - We may ask for reasonable evidence of your identity, role, guardianship or authority before we enable or continue an action.
5. Your account and its security
You must give accurate account information, keep your password and other sign-in methods private, and use only your own account. Do not share your account, sign in as someone else, use another person's session, or try to get around sign-in or permission checks. If you think someone else has used your account, tell us at once at security@therapatic.com.
You must verify your email address before you can sign in. You can add two-factor sign-in with an authenticator app, and you can add passkeys. We recommend both, especially for staff who handle children's information. The web app signs you out after one hour without activity, after a two-minute warning. It does not sign you out while you are working on a live session screen; the hour starts again when you leave that screen. You can see and end your active sessions, and review recent security activity, in your account settings.
If your account is suspended, locked or disabled, every sign-in it has ends at once, on the web and in our mobile apps.
Organisations are responsible for keeping their list of administrators up to date, and for changing or removing a person's access promptly when that person's role changes or they leave.
6. Organisation workspaces, invitations and roles
An Organisation can invite people to its Workspace and give them roles, such as owner, administrator, manager, supervisor, therapist, assistant or parent. The role decides what each person can see and do. The Organisation decides who gets access and should review that access regularly.
A therapist with an active professional passport can create a Workspace for an Organisation and becomes its owner. A Parent or Guardian account cannot create an Organisation; a Parent or Guardian joins an Organisation's Workspace when the Organisation enrols their Child.
A role's name or description is not a permission in itself. What a person can do is set by the Service's permissions and the Organisation's settings. An administrative, billing or technical role does not by itself give clinical authority.
When a person leaves an Organisation, or their invitation or employment ends, their access to that Workspace can end without deleting the Organisation's records.
7. Professional responsibility and your relationship with families
Therapists always practise inside an Organisation. A Professional's Personal Space holds their professional passport and My Cloud; it is not a place to keep clients' records, run sessions or bill families. A Professional may still buy a personal plan for features of their own, such as passport or storage features.
Professionals who use the Service must use their own professional judgment, work within their competence and licence, obtain the consents their work requires, choose appropriate measures and procedures, keep accurate records, and refer medical, safeguarding and other urgent matters to the right service.
Each Organisation is responsible for its own services, staff, supervision, policies and record-keeping duties, and for the professional service it provides to families.
An Organisation's own service agreement, treatment consent forms, fee schedule and policies are between that Organisation and the family. Edura is not a party to them. Subscription fees for the Service are separate from any fees an Organisation charges a family for its services.
Templates we provide, such as sample consent forms or policy documents, are samples only and are not legal advice. An Organisation that uses one adopts it as its own document and is responsible for it.
8. Children, parents and guardians
- Children do not have accounts. Information about a Child is managed by the Child's Parents or Guardians and by the Organisations and professionals who work with the Child. - When you add a Child, or link yourself to a Child, you confirm that you are the Child's parent or legal guardian. We do not check guardianship documents. Organisations are responsible for checking guardianship where their own procedures or the law require it. - A Child's primary Parent or Guardian can invite another parent or guardian by email. - Guardianship and decision-making authority can depend on the Child's age, on court orders and on the law. Being shown as a guardian in the Service does not by itself authorise every access, disclosure, consent or deletion. - A Parent or Guardian can see, read-only, what each Organisation that enrols the Child records about the Child in the Service, except drafts and notes the Organisation keeps for its staff. This includes all of the Child's behaviour plans. Where an Organisation's work with the Child has ended or is paused, its records stay visible to the Parent or Guardian as history. - We will allow a licensed clinician to withhold a specific record from a Parent or Guardian only where showing it is likely to cause serious harm, with the reason recorded and the decision reviewed by a second clinician. - When a Child reaches adulthood, the Child's Parents and Guardians currently keep their access. We will introduce a process that lets the young adult take control of their own record, and we will tell Parents and Guardians 90 days before it applies to them. - Where appropriate, a Child should be given information in a form they can understand, and their views should be heard, without replacing any consent the law requires.
9. Records and the information you put in
Only put information into the Service that you are authorised to collect, use and share. Keep records accurate, and make clear what you observed yourself, what someone else reported, and what is your own interpretation.
Correct records using the tools in the Service rather than rewriting history. When a record is signed or finalised, the name of the person who signed it is kept as it was at the time of signing.
Where a Workspace records activities or time spent, that information shows what was recorded. It does not by itself show that a treatment helped, failed or caused anything.
SOAP notes are an optional setting. They are off unless the Organisation's owner or an administrator switches them on in the Organisation's clinical policy settings. While they are off, SOAP notes are hidden everywhere in that Workspace, including notes written earlier; they are not deleted, and they reappear if the setting is switched on again.
These Terms do not decide who legally owns a clinical or educational record. That depends on the law, on the Organisation's professional duties and on the agreements between the people involved. Paying for, administering or being related to a Child does not by itself give you authority over every item in the Child Record.
10. Sharing between organisations
Each Child has one shared profile in the Service. It holds the Child's identity details, such as names and date of birth, and care-profile sections, for example medical, allergy, communication and behaviour-safety information. Every Organisation where the Child is enrolled can see the identity details and the safety sections: allergies, medications, emergency contacts, the behaviour and safety plan, and guardian roles. It can see the other care-profile sections only while the Parent or Guardian's consent lets it view the clinical file (see section 28 of our Privacy Policy). The family's own account in the behaviour and safety section (the Child's behaviours, what may lie behind them, triggers, safety risks and the family's safety measures) is the exception: an Organisation sees it only while a Parent or Guardian has agreed to share it with that Organisation. A Parent or Guardian always sees it. The Child's Parents or Guardians, and authorised staff of those Organisations, can update the shared profile.
The records that each Organisation makes about the Child, such as sessions, goals, assessments and notes, stay with that Organisation, and another Organisation cannot open them unless a Parent or Guardian shares them.
A Parent or Guardian can share the records that one Organisation keeps about the Child, including an Organisation the Child no longer attends, with another Organisation where the Child is enrolled, so that the Child's history is not lost and can be followed up by other Organisations. They choose which kinds of record to share and the first and last day of the share, and they can change these, pause the share or stop it at any time. A share is read-only: the receiving Organisation can read the shared records in the Service but cannot change them, and the Service does not copy them into its Workspace. A share also ends when its last day has passed or when the Child's enrolment with the receiving Organisation ends. The Organisation whose records are shared is not told about the share. We log each time the receiving Organisation opens the shared records, and the Parent or Guardian can see that log; it names the Organisation, not the staff member who opened them. Session Recordings are never shared between Organisations.
To help avoid booking a Child into two places at once, the Service may show the times of the Child's sessions at other Organisations, as busy blocks, to people at an Organisation where the Child also has, or has had, sessions, and may count those times as busy when they look for a free time for the Child. A busy block shows only when the session starts and when it ends. It shows nothing else about the session: not the other Organisation's name, the session's title, service, kind (for example an assessment or an intake) or status, whether it is one-to-one or in a group, where it takes place or its video-call link, who takes part or how many, or any notes. Sessions that do not take up the Child's time, such as cancelled sessions, are not shown.
When an Organisation's work with a Child ends, it loses access to the live shared profile. It keeps only its own records and a read-only view of the shared profile as it stood on the date its work ended, with these exceptions, which are shown as they are now: the Child's identity details, such as names and date of birth; and, for each Parent or Guardian who was linked to the Child when that work ended, their name (or, if they have not recorded a name, their parent code), their relationship to the Child and whether they are the Child's primary guardian. A Parent or Guardian whose link to the Child has been removed since then is no longer shown. The view shows no photo of the Child or of any Parent or Guardian.
We will also make a further change: a Parent or Guardian will be able to choose, for each Organisation, which of the other care-profile sections it can see, one section at a time. The safety sections (allergies, medications, emergency contacts, the behaviour and safety plan, and guardian roles) will always be visible to every Organisation caring for the Child.
Switching off, pausing or withdrawing a consent takes effect at once (see section 28 of our Privacy Policy). Ending a relationship, withdrawing a consent or stopping a share does not undo information already seen, and it does not remove records an Organisation must lawfully keep.
11. Hieka and other AI-assisted features
Hieka can help you with your work in the Service: it can review a goal, on a goal library's goal form or on a Child's goal form, draft the steps of a family coaching clip where video and these drafts are switched on, answer questions about using the Service, summarise a Child's progress on their goals for a report, draft a summary of an ended session for its therapist, tell a Parent or Guardian in simple words how their Child is doing, explain an Organisation's dashboard in words, and write a report's results in words for the person who ran the report. Hieka is switched on for every Workspace unless we switch it off for that Workspace, and each of its features works only once we have put it live. In an Organisation's Workspace, every member can use the help chat, and only members with permission to use Hieka can use goal review, coaching drafts and the summaries for professionals: by default the Organisation's owner, administrators, managers, supervisors and therapists, and the owner or an administrator can give that permission to, or take it away from, any other member. We limit how many requests a person can make in an hour, and a Workspace in an hour and in a day. Goal review on a Child's goal and coaching drafts read the Child's goal after the names and other identifying details that the filter described below recognises have been removed, the summaries of a Child and a report's narrative read numbers from Children's records with placeholders instead of names, and nothing else from a Child's record is read; our Privacy Policy explains what is sent.
Our mobile apps send nothing to Hieka or to any other AI service unless you have first given your explicit permission in the app. The app asks before the first time, and you can withdraw that permission in the app's settings at any time.
AI output is a suggestion or a draft for a qualified person to review, and a summary for a Parent or Guardian puts what the Organisation has recorded into simple words. It is not a diagnosis, a prescription, a professional opinion or a decision, and it does not change a Child's plan by itself. Before you use any AI output, check it for accuracy, relevance, missing information, bias, safety and language. Do not rely on it where direct assessment, urgent action, professional authorisation or a validated instrument is needed. We will label AI output as AI-assisted.
Do not type a Child's name or other identifying details into Hieka. Before any request leaves the Service, a filter removes the names of the Children, Parents or Guardians and staff recorded in your Workspace, in English or Arabic, and other names and identifiers it recognises, such as dates, phone numbers and email addresses. It cannot catch everything: a name it does not know, such as a relative's name or a nickname, can get through, and so can a recorded name typed in the other alphabet, such as an Arabic name typed in English letters. Our Privacy Policy explains what the filter removes and its limits.
We use the records of requests made to Hieka and of its responses, after this filter, to improve Hieka, including to train and evaluate the AI models behind it, only where the Workspace's owner or an administrator has switched this use on. It is off by default for every Workspace, in every country, and can be switched off again at any time, as our Privacy Policy explains. We do not use Child Records to train AI models.
We never use AI on Session Recordings: no transcription, summary, analysis or recognition of any kind, and no training.
12. Acceptable use
You must use the Service lawfully, respectfully and only for authorised purposes. You must not: - access, disclose, export or change information without authority, or use another person's identity, account or session; - upload malicious code, probe or test our security, get around permissions, interfere with the Service, scrape it without our permission, or reverse engineer it except where the law does not allow us to prohibit this; - use the Service to abuse, exploit, threaten, harass, discriminate against or unlawfully monitor anyone; - make up clinical, educational, billing, consent, credential or incident records, or present AI output as reviewed professional work when it has not been reviewed; - use the Service to delay emergency care, hide a safeguarding concern, or block lawful communication or a person's communication supports; - upload information, photos or videos without the authority, consent or legal basis required; - record anyone in secret, record a session without the consents and authority it needs, or copy, film or screen-record a Session Recording, other than by a download that the Service itself offers; or - use a role, code, title or AI output in the Service to claim a licence, qualification, diagnosis, authorisation or entitlement that has not been independently established.
Session Recordings. An Organisation can record sessions only if it has switched session recording on, and only through our mobile apps. Recording is limited to one-to-one and assessment sessions. Before a Child is recorded, a Parent or Guardian with the authority to decide must consent to recording for that Child at that Organisation, and any such Parent or Guardian can switch it off. Every member of staff who records or appears in a recording must have agreed to it. The consent and the agreement are given in the Service by a signed-in person and are recorded with their date and time and the version of the wording agreed to: they are the written consent to recording, no paper form is needed, and each can be withdrawn in the Service at any time. The app shows clearly while it is recording. No Session Recording reaches a family until a person at the Organisation other than the one who recorded it has reviewed it and an authorised person has released it. A clip in which another child can be identified is not released to the family; if a Parent or Guardian asks for it, the Organisation gives them, within 30 days, a copy in which the other child is blurred or cropped out. A Session Recording is part of the Organisation's clinical record of the Child, and the Organisation is responsible for keeping it for as long as the law requires. Our Privacy Policy explains how Session Recordings are stored, who can watch and download them and how long they are kept.
Reporting a problem. You can report content, a person or a problem from within the Service, for example a message, a comment, a file, a profile, a fault or a privacy concern. Reports go to Edura and, where the kind of report calls for it, to the Organisation concerned. We do not tell the Organisation who sent a report unless you choose to share your name with it. We review each report, may restrict access or remove content while we look into it, and will tell you the outcome where we can. To stop someone from reaching you or your Child, you can stop an Organisation from contacting you or your Child again, an Organisation can remove or suspend a member of its Workspace, and a Parent or Guardian can end a Child's enrolment with an Organisation. If a report shows material that depicts the sexual abuse or exploitation of a child, we report it to the US National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and to the authorities of the United Arab Emirates, and we keep the evidence under a legal hold. A report is not an emergency service: for urgent risks to anyone's safety, contact your local emergency services.
If you find a security weakness, report it to security@therapatic.com and do not test it further.
We may investigate suspected misuse, and we may restrict access where reasonably necessary to protect people, data or the Service.
13. Your content
You and your Organisation keep the rights you have in Customer Content. These Terms do not transfer ownership of Customer Content to us.
You give Edura permission to host, store, copy, transmit, display, back up and otherwise handle Customer Content only as needed to provide, secure and support the Service, to follow your instructions, to deal with reports (see section 12), to improve Hieka as section 11 describes, and to meet our legal obligations. We will not use Customer Content for advertising, and we will not sell it.
You confirm that you have the rights and authority needed for the Customer Content you put into the Service and for the instructions you give us.
14. Our intellectual property, libraries and feedback
The Service, including its software, design, branding and documentation, and the libraries, assessment tools and templates we provide, belongs to Edura or its licensors. We give you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable right to use the Service while your access lasts. We do not sell you the software or any rights in our content.
Our libraries and marketplace are curated by us. When an authorised member of a Workspace installs content from them, a copy is added to the Workspace. The Organisation can adapt an installed assessment tool or goal library for its own work in the Service. We may make other content read-only, such as the target sets in our target libraries: the Organisation can then add its own targets to such a set, and archive the set, but cannot rename it or change or take out the targets we provide. Content installed from our marketplace stays in the Workspace that installed it: it cannot be exported, licensed or given to another Organisation, which can install it from the marketplace itself.
Third-party instruments, code sets, trademarks and licensed material remain subject to their owners' terms. You must not copy, translate or redistribute them just because they can be reached through, or are referred to in, the Service.
If you send us feedback, we may use it to improve the Service without paying you. When we do, we will not identify you and will not disclose Customer Content.
15. Third-party services and app stores
The Service relies on other providers, such as our hosting, payment, email, notification and AI providers. Our Privacy Policy lists them. A link to, or integration with, another service does not mean that we endorse it or control what it does.
If you download our mobile apps from the Apple App Store or Google Play, Apple and Google are not parties to these Terms and are not responsible for the Service or its support. The store's own terms apply to the download and to any purchase you make through the store. When you use our apps, you must also comply with the terms of any third party whose service you use with them, such as your mobile network's terms.
Apple App Store terms. If you download one of our apps from the Apple App Store, these terms also apply, and they prevail over anything else in these Terms that conflicts with them: - These Terms are between you and Edura only, and not with Apple. Edura, not Apple, is solely responsible for the app and its content. - Your licence to use the app is limited to a non-transferable licence to use it on Apple-branded products that you own or control, as the Usage Rules in the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions allow, except that other accounts linked to the purchaser through Family Sharing or volume purchasing may also use it. - Edura alone is responsible for maintaining and supporting the app. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for it. - Edura alone is responsible for any warranty for the app, whether given in writing or implied by law, to the extent it has not been effectively disclaimed. If the app does not conform to an applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price, if any, that you paid for the app. To the maximum extent the law allows, Apple has no other warranty obligation for the app, and any other claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs or expenses caused by a failure to conform to a warranty are Edura's responsibility. - Edura, not Apple, is responsible for dealing with any claims by you or by a third party relating to the app or your possession or use of it, including product liability claims, claims that the app fails to meet a legal or regulatory requirement, and claims under consumer protection, privacy or similar laws. - If a third party claims that the app, or your possession and use of it, infringes that third party's intellectual property rights, Edura, not Apple, is solely responsible for investigating, defending, settling and discharging that claim. - You confirm that you are not located in a country that is subject to a US Government embargo or that the US Government has designated as a "terrorist-supporting" country, and that you are not listed on any US Government list of prohibited or restricted parties. - Questions, complaints and claims about the app should be sent to Edura at the address in section 1, at support@therapatic.com or by telephone on +971581956176. - When you use the app, you must comply with the terms of any third party that apply to your use, such as your wireless data service agreement. - Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms. When you accept these Terms, Apple will have the right, and will be deemed to have accepted the right, to enforce them against you as a third-party beneficiary.
16. Plans, prices and payment
- Plans, prices, the currency and the billing period are shown on our pricing page, at checkout and in the app before you pay. - Depending on the plan, a subscription is paid for by an Organisation for its Workspace, by a Professional for their personal plan, or by a Parent or Guardian for a Child. An Organisation may also pay for a Child or for a Professional. Only one payer pays for the same Child, Professional or Workspace at a time, whichever way they bought. - You can buy subscriptions on our website and, through the Apple App Store or Google Play, in our Parent, Therapist and Organisation apps. In Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and Oman, a subscription that a Parent or Guardian or a Professional pays for themselves can be bought only in our apps; an Organisation can buy on our website in every country where we offer the Service. A store processes the payment for a purchase made in our apps under its own terms. - Prices shown for web purchases include VAT where it applies, unless stated otherwise for your market. VAT is calculated by our payment provider from the billing address and any tax registration number you give on the secure payment page. Edura is registered for VAT in the United Arab Emirates, and every tax invoice we issue shows our tax registration number (TRN) and the VAT charged. If you give a valid business tax registration number from outside the United Arab Emirates, the reverse charge may apply. - When you pay on the web, our payment provider, Stripe, processes the payment. We do not receive or store your full card number. - Library and assessment-tool slots: a plan includes a number of libraries and assessment tools that a Workspace can have installed from our marketplace at the same time. Each one installed beyond that number adds a monthly charge. The charge is shown before the install, and the install goes ahead only once an authorised member has confirmed it. Such a charge can be confirmed only on our website, not in our mobile apps. Archiving an installed copy frees its slot. - You must give accurate billing information and pay charges when they are due. - If we change the price of a subscription you already hold, the new price will not apply to you until we have told you about it in advance. - Paying for another person's access does not give you clinical authority, rights over their records, or guardianship.
17. No free trial, cancellation and refunds
- We do not offer free trials on any channel. - A subscription continues from one billing period to the next, and is charged for each new period, until you cancel it. - A subscription bought in the Apple App Store or Google Play renews automatically unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your store account is charged for the renewal within the 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage and cancel it in your store account settings. - You can cancel a subscription at any time. To cancel a subscription bought on the web, choose Cancel subscription in Billing in the Service. Before you confirm, the Service tells you what cancelling will do. After you cancel, we will not charge you again for that subscription. - 14-day money-back guarantee on our website and in Google Play: your account's first purchase on our website or in Google Play comes with a 14-day money-back guarantee, once per account. It applies to that first purchase only: it does not apply to a renewal or to any later subscription, and cancelling and subscribing again does not start a new one. - Bought on the web: cancel from Billing within 14 days of the first purchase; your access ends at once and everything you paid, including tax, is refunded in full, automatically, to the original payment method. You do not need to ask for it. - Bought in Google Play: cancel in Google Play within 14 days of the first purchase; we refund it in full automatically through Google Play, and your access ends. - Bought in the Apple App Store: only Apple can refund an App Store purchase, so we cannot guarantee that refund. If you cancel within 14 days of your first purchase, you can ask Apple for a refund at reportaproblem.apple.com; Apple decides. - Outside that period, and for any later subscription, cancelling stops the next renewal: you keep access until the end of the billing period you have paid for, the subscription then ends, and no part of that period is refunded. For a subscription bought on the web, you can take the cancellation back until that period ends by choosing Keep my subscription in Billing. - If a refund cannot be returned to the original payment method, we will ask you, through a secure form in the Service, for a bank account with an IBAN to return it to. We transfer the refund and then delete the account details; the notices we sent when the account was given keep only its last four characters. We never ask for bank details by email or by phone. - If another payer takes over a subscription bought on the web, for example when an Organisation starts paying for a Child whose Parent or Guardian was paying, the change takes effect at once, and the previous payer receives a prorated credit for the part of the billing period they had paid for but will not use. If the previous payer bought through the Apple App Store or Google Play, the change takes effect when the period already paid for in the store ends; the previous payer should cancel the store subscription so that it does not renew. - Apart from that guarantee and that credit, we do not give refunds or credits for any part of a billing period you have already paid for, unless the law requires us to. - If you bought through the Apple App Store or Google Play, you cancel in the store; we cannot cancel a store subscription for you. Apart from the guarantee above, refunds of store purchases follow that store's refund process. - Cancelling a subscription does not delete any records, and it does not end an Organisation's lawful right to keep the records it made.
18. Availability and changes to the Service
We work to keep the Service available and secure, but we cannot promise that it will always be available, uninterrupted or error-free, or that it will work with every device. We may need to pause it for maintenance or for security reasons.
We may update, change or stop features. We will tell you about changes that materially affect you where we reasonably can.
Keep your own continuity and emergency procedures. Do not rely on the Service as the only way to take urgent care or safety action.
19. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or restrict access where reasonably necessary because of a security risk, unlawful or harmful use, a serious breach of these Terms, the loss of the authority an action needs, or a legal requirement. Unless urgent protection or the law requires us to act immediately, we will tell you first and, where the problem can be fixed, give you a reasonable chance to fix it. If you think we got it wrong, email support@therapatic.com.
If a payment is not made, we may limit the account after telling you. A limited account becomes read-only: existing information stays visible, but no new work can be added. Non-payment will never by itself cause us to delete your records. Session Recordings follow their own rule. If a payment for a plan that pays for Session Recordings fails, new recording stops at once. If that plan is cancelled or stays unpaid, we give the Organisation 30 days' notice, and during those 30 days the Organisation can export all of its Session Recordings under its plan's export terms; after those 30 days the Organisation's copy is deleted from the Service, whether or not it was exported, and an Organisation that exported its recordings keeps the export to meet its own record-keeping duties. A clip that a Parent or Guardian keeps in their own storage, under a plan of theirs that includes storage, remains the Parent's or Guardian's and is not deleted with the Organisation's copy (see section 17 of our Privacy Policy).
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time (see section 20).
Ending access does not delete audit records, records that must lawfully be kept, or invoices, and it does not end obligations that by their nature continue. Each Organisation is responsible for its own offboarding, record handover and continuity of care. We do not arrange replacement clinical or educational services.
20. Leaving: copies, corrections and deleting your account
- Copies. Choose Download my data in your account settings for a copy of your own account's data. A Parent or Guardian can also download a copy of their Child's record, and an Organisation's owner or administrators can download a copy of the Organisation's records; an Organisation's copy includes a Child's records only where the Parent or Guardian has allowed the Organisation to export them. Each copy lists anything it does not include yet. For anything a copy leaves out, or to correct your data, email privacy@therapatic.com. We will verify your identity and respond within one month. - Some parts of the Service also let authorised users download data, such as reports, data tables and calendar files. - Deleting. You can delete your account from your account settings ("Delete account"), from our mobile apps, or by following the steps on our public page at therapatic.com/delete-account. You will be signed out everywhere and will have 30 days to change your mind by signing in again. We email you a reminder about 7 days before the end of that period. - After 30 days, your account is closed for good and cannot be restored, and we erase your sign-in details and the rest of your own personal data automatically, as section 24 of our Privacy Policy lists. We email you when this is done. You do not need to ask a second time. - If you are the only owner of an Organisation, you must first hand the ownership to someone else or archive the Organisation. We tell you this before you confirm, and the deletion is not accepted until it is done. - Records an Organisation made about your care or your child's care, including anything you wrote for that Organisation, stay with that Organisation under its record-keeping duties. - If you are the last Parent or Guardian linked to a Child, and no Organisation, current or former, holds any record about the Child, the Child's shared profile, photo and files are erased with your account. If an Organisation does hold records about the Child, the Child's shared profile is kept as one sealed, read-only record that only those Organisations can see, and it is erased when the last of them no longer needs it. In either case, any enrolment request still open for the Child is cancelled, and the Organisation that sent it is told. - Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription you bought through the Apple App Store or Google Play. Cancel it in the store. - A copy you download is outside our control. Protect it, and share it only with people who are authorised to see it.
Our Privacy Policy explains what we keep, for how long, and why.
21. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, keep and protect personal data. Organisations and professionals must also meet their own privacy, confidentiality and record-keeping duties. A consent label or role description in the Service does not create access that the Service's permissions do not give.
22. Confidentiality, safeguarding and emergencies
Handle confidential information only through authorised accounts, devices and channels, and share it only with people who need it and are authorised to see it. Organisations are responsible for training their staff and for their own policies.
Handle safeguarding concerns, abuse, neglect, danger and medical emergencies through your local emergency services and your Organisation's own procedures. Therapatic is not an emergency service. Messages, requests, reports and notifications in the Service may not be seen in time for urgent action.
Where the law or a professional duty requires a disclosure for someone's safety, limit it to what is necessary, use an authorised route, and record why and to whom you disclosed it.
23. Disclaimers
The Service supports your work. It does not guarantee any clinical, educational, operational or financial result. What the Service shows depends on the accuracy and completeness of the information its users put in.
To the extent the law allows, we provide the Service as it is and as available, without promises other than those written in these Terms. Nothing in these Terms excludes rights you have that cannot lawfully be excluded.
24. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, Edura's total liability to you for all claims arising out of or relating to the Service or these Terms is limited to the fees you paid to Edura for the Service in the 12 months before the event that gave rise to the claim.
Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes any liability that cannot be limited or excluded under the law that applies.
25. Complaints, governing law and disputes
If you have a complaint about the Service, email support@therapatic.com. For a complaint about how we handle personal data, email privacy@therapatic.com. We will try to resolve it with you. A complaint about the professional service an Organisation provides should go to that Organisation.
These Terms, and any dispute arising out of or in connection with them, are governed by the federal laws of the United Arab Emirates and the laws of the Emirate of Dubai. The courts of the Emirate of Dubai have jurisdiction to decide any such dispute. This does not take away any right you have under the mandatory law of the country where you live.
26. Changes to these Terms, language and general provisions
Each version of these Terms shows its version number and effective date. If we make a material change, we will tell you at least 30 days before it takes effect and will ask you to accept the new Terms before you continue to use the Service. For a minor change, such as a clarification, we will give you notice. We keep a record of the versions you have accepted.
These Terms are published in English and Arabic. If the two versions differ, the English version prevails.
If any part of these Terms cannot be enforced, the rest remains in effect. If we do not enforce a right straight away, we have not given it up. We may transfer our rights and obligations under these Terms to a company that takes over the Therapatic business, and we will tell you if that happens. You may not transfer your account or these Terms to anyone else without our written consent. Headings are for convenience only and do not change the meaning of these Terms.
